- Because of the music (what`s in their water????), and of the general standoffishness.
- Because I want to get to the root of all that American propaganda i was force-fed into consuming when i was growing up.
- Because I want to experience living in an older city, one that`s strangely in decay and in flux at the same time.
- Because I want to go through the Chunnel (dint get a chance last time, we flew to Paris).
- Because it`ll be fun mimicking a British ok-sunt.
- Because it`ll help me understand why all these Canadians go bonkers when the Queen comes to visit.
- Because it`s way cooler than New York (it`s an opinion, nothing against newyawkers)
- Because of Banksy!
- Because i want to learn how to drive on the other side of the road.
- Because it has better weather than Toronto, but it`s not sunny/beachy enough that everyone`s image obsessed and plastic-surgeried to death.
- Because Amsterdam is only six hours away!
- Because they have more entertaining TV programming (although i barely watch these days)
- Because Indian food is everywhere :) :) :)
These days people are pinching pennies and living frugally, but we want to know: What's the last thing you splurged on?
Four days of valet parking at the hotel. Montreal was too cold!!! it was money well spent, believe me.
was a tray of meatballs smothered in steak spice, egg, and bread crumbs...

Is there a friend who you owe a phonecall or email? What's stopping you?
Grrrr QotD, why'd you have to remind me? I should working on my project for P. instead of writing this blog post. The poor guy has been so nice and accommodating about my very, very credible excuses. (so far, I've used "working on another big project that's already delayed two weeks", "had to go to Florida for a conference", "had to finish P.D.'s project first", "can I buy you lunch because I feel so guilty about not finishing it yet?")
Been putting it off because it's tedious, repetitive, soul-sucking work. (Not! Just been procrastinating on the damn thing!) Must email him the stuff by tonight. You suck, QotD!
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
....used to work the night shift then went to school during the day. was neither a morning person nor a night owl. was just grateful to get some sleep. these days, i'm just good to go any time of the day. not that i'm setting myself up for punishment or anything, just been super excited and raring to go all the time day and night I'm ready i'm awake I can do ANYTHING!! bring it on c'mon now YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHH!
I should take up yoga.
and no, it's not just the coffee!
Two words: burning desire.
What's your motto?
Remember slumbooks, autograph books? This QOTD reminds me of the good old days when we'd pass those around. Used to write "Break my heart and I'll break your face" whenever I was asked the motto question. If I was feeling particularly corny that day, I'd write "Ajinomoto" instead.

If you could write a book about anything, what would it be about?
Something relevant and boringet, like the plight of Filipina caregivers in Canada or somesuch. It'd be a collection of storylets ala Melissa Bank. Couple of months back, bugged Joy to do something similar in Singapore. Busyness got the better of the both of us. Suckies.
Don't see the busyness letting up til Jan, at least. No complaints, though. Happy with the busyness. Sleep is for the weak. I'm such a show-off, sometimes....
